Class-based exercise, with the individual attention necessary to achieve new levels of fitness, poses unique challenges. We are a small business, and we meet those challenges in a small business way -- with a small group of top-flight instructors and a beautiful, light-filled, "green" studio that provides a comfortable, yet intimate setting for small group classes of 7 or less.

We welcome participants of most ages and all abilities. Our classes include young adults, older adults 80+ years old and respectful children.

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a 5000 year old Eastern energy-based practice developed in India. It is based on a system of moves to unlock energy flows while increasing flexibility and toning internal and external muscles. The benefits of Yoga are numerous and can include improved physical fitness, stress control, mental clarity, and general well-being. The physical postures enhance muscular strength, coordination, flexibility and agility. People of all ages can practice Yoga.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a Western philosophy developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. He designed this restorative and conditioning technique to help people overcome injuries and postural misalignment and to improve general core weakness. While Joseph Pilates' traditional exercises were traditionally used for the training and rehabilitation of dancers with hyperextension injuries, these exercises are not all appropriate for today's everyday person who sits flexed for most of the day. Pilates matwork involves concentrated moves, requiring you to set a posture and then challenge the torso by moving the limbs in a repetitious manner.

Your Classes

Yoga Flow

A fluid form of Vinyasa Yoga focusing on mindfulness and complete integration of breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength and flexibility. Yoga Flow poses are presented in a varied and diverse way, with teachers offering a variety of modifications based on a student's ability, experience and desire to challenge oneself. Yoga Flow is a full mind/body workout, a consistent movement which increases fitness and helps ease the mind.

Stretch & Center Yoga

A practice aimed at flexiblity and the body's core strength and alignment, bringing the body and mind into optimal balance. Students are led through a series of stretches and poses to improve stability and mobility, with modifications offered based on a student's abilities.

Yoga-Pilates Blend

A hybrid of the "best" of both disciplines, this class is a fusion of flowing, focused, controlled yoga breathing, movement and stretching with the core stabilization and strengthening of Pilates. Enjoy a series of exercises incorporating both Pilates matwork and Yoga poses, from warm-up to level-appropriate, challenging positions and poses and cooldown.

Power Yoga

A Yoga practice based on intuition rather than tradition. This practice will heal and exhiliarate your body and mind with emphasis on movement, balance and intention. A Vinyasa-style yoga, focus on core strength, balance and flow in this dynamic, spiritual class.

Yoga 101

An introduction to the practice of Yoga, featuring breath work, basic postures, body alignment, and the mind-body connection. For beginners, it's the basics; for the more experienced, a return to the fundamentals.

Pilates: Core & Stretch

Develop more complete core strength and flexibility. We emphasize not only the "global" abdominal and low back muscles but also the smaller, "local" paraspinal and deep core muscles. We blend supportive Pilates exercise with spinal therapy techniques and level specific intensities. We incorporate head-to-toe stretching, leaving you feeling light and renewed. This class will help you improve muscular balance, function and posture, reduce spinal pain, prevent spinal and orthopedic injury, relieve tension and feel renewed.

Pilates Prop

Combines Pilates Mat exercise, which focuses on the deep abdominals, pelvic floor, spinal muscles, breathing and flexibility, with use of Bender Balls, stability balls and other props to support the spine while challenging, lengthening and balancing your muscles.

TRX Suspension Training 

Using only your bodyweight, you are in complete control of how challenging you want the workout to be. By simply adjusting your body position, you either increase or decrease the resistance of each exercise. The system allows you to rapidly change between exercises delivering a fast, highly effective, full body workout that can benefit people of all fitness levels and ages.
